Interview CompanionCompetency-based hiring · evidence support
Step 1

Set up the interview

Pick the role and the competencies you are hiring against. Eight defaults are loaded for inside sales appointment-setters. Edit them, save your own template, or hand one to the team as a JSON file.

Before the interview starts

Tell the candidate the conversation is being recorded for note-taking. Say something like:

"Before we begin, I want to let you know I'm recording our conversation so I can take notes and stay focused on what you're saying. Is that okay with you?"

Drop a resume here, or click to choose
PDF or .docx. Read in your browser; the file is never uploaded.
Templates are saved in this browser. Export to share or back up.
Step 2

Get the transcript

Record the room to one audio file and upload it. The tool transcribes it with speaker separation. A one-hour file takes a couple of minutes. You can also paste a transcript directly.

Drop an audio file here, or click to choose
m4a, mp3, wav, or similar. Record as m4a or mp3 to keep the file small.
Step 3

Which voice is the candidate?

The transcript is separated by speaker. Tap the one that is the candidate. The rest are treated as the interviewer.

Step 4

Your assessment

Enter your own read first. Rate each competency and give your recommendation. The dossier only runs after you lock this in, so your judgment is the anchor, not a reaction to the AI.

Once you run the dossier your ratings lock. The AI returns evidence, missed follow-ups, gaps, and any tension with your ratings. It does not score and does not recommend hire or no-hire. That stays with you.
